The present study proposes the modified perturbation/correlation method (MPCM) as a way of performing assembly tasks and an algorithm by which assembly tasks can be performed automatically, without human intervention. The MPCM is position/orientation perturbation generating method when the female and the male connector are connected. The correlation value of the resulting reaction force/moment is used to correct the position and orientation errors between the connectors. The successful performance of assembly tasks within a limited error range can be achieved by applying the MPCM to humanoid robot (DRC-HUBO). When there exist position/orientation errors between the connectors, the correlation value converges to 0 as error are corrected.
본 연구에서는 assembly task를 수행하기 위한 방법으로 Modified Perturbation/Correlation Method (MPCM)를 제안하고 사람의 개입 없이 자동적으로 assembly task를 수행할 수 있는 algorithm을 제안한다. MPCM은 female connector와 male connector가 접촉 상태에 있을 때 position/orientation perturbation을 발생시켜 이에 따른 reaction force/moment의 correlation값을 이용하여 connector간의 위치, 각도 오차를 계산하여 보정하는 방법이다. Humanoid Robot (DRC-HUBO)에 MPCM을 적용하여 제한된 오차 범위 내에서 assembly task를 성공적으로 수행하는 것을 확인할 수 있으며, connector간의 오차가 존재하는 경우 correlation 값이 일정 방향성을 띄지만 오차가 보정됨에 따라 0으로 수렴하는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
