This research examines how individual’s power and accountability in a group can influence the Judgmental Adjustments. I propose that greater power increases the degree of Judgmental Adjustments and this effect is elevated confidence in one’s Judgment Forecasting. In addition, I suggest that accountability helps Judgmental Adjustments decrease even if there is a great power because accountability moderates the effect of power on confidence. I investigated the relationships across two experiments. Experiments1 documents a negative relationship between the feeling of power and Judgmental Adjustments and a mediation role of elevated confidence between them. Experiment2 show that individuals with a great power and accountability lower their overconfidence and it makes them accept the recommendation more. The pater provides insights on how the structure of forecasting group should be managed through designing work roles and responsibilities to mitigate the negative effects. The paper concludes with discussions of the study’s limitations and future research.
본 연구의 목적은 집단 내 개인의 영향력 및 책임감이 판단적 예측 조정에 미치는 영향에 대해서 알아보는 것이다. 높은 영향력은 판단적 예측 조정의 정도를 증가시키고 이는 개인의 증가된 자신감으로부터 기인한다. 또한 비록 개인이 높은 영향력을 가지고 있다 할 지라도 책임감이 부여되게 된다면 개인의 판단적 예측 조정의 정도는 낮아지게 된다. 이는 책임감이 영향력과 자신감 사이에서 조절변수의 역할을 하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지의 실험이 실시 되었다. 첫 번째 실험은 영향력과 판단적 예측 조정 간의 음의 상관관계, 그리고 이들 사이에서 자신감 매개변수 효과를 확인한 것이다. 두 번째 실험에서는, 높은 영향력을 가진 개인에게 책임감이 부여될 때 과한 자신감의 수준은 낮아지게 되며 최종적으로 제안된 수요 예측 값을 더 받아들이는 경향을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 개인의 역할 부여 및 책임감의 효과를 통해 어떻게 수요예측부서가 구성되어야 하는지에 대해 시사점을 제시한다. 본 논문은 연구의 결론, 한계점, 추후 연구과제를 마지막으로 끝을 맺는다.
