$LiNbO_3$ crystals were grown using Czochralski method at various pulling speeds. Macroscopic defects, such as cracks, bubbles and cellular structures, appeared in some crystals. The cracks and bubbles generated in the crystals largely depended on the pulling speed and the cooling rate. It was found that about 15㎜ diameter $LiNbO_3$ crystal was growned at 6~7㎜/h pulling speed and at 20℃/h cooling rate. Dielectric properties and optical properties were measured of the samples cut along A axis and C axis at various temperatures.
