This thesis deals with a mini-load carousel system, where throughput performance of the system can be measured in the number of orders processed per time unit. Assuming the randomized rack assignment policy, analytic models are developed for the throughput performance as a function of the system parameters such as the dimension of the carousels, the rotation velocity of the carousels, the velocity of S/R robot, the container handling time, and the order picking time. For the last parameter, two cases are considered; deterministic and exponentially distributed. The validity of the models are tested through Monte Carlo simulation. It is confirmed that the results of the analytic models are fairly consistent with those by the simulation.
본 연구에서는 소형, 경량의 제품을 저장하는데 주로 사용되는 Mini-load carousel 자동창고 시스템의 수행도 평가방법을 다루었다. 이 시스템의 수행도는 단위 시간당 처리 할 수 있는 입출고 주문수로 측정 되는데, 이를 추산하기 위한 주문 처리 시간(expected cycle time)의 계산 모델을 제시 하였다. 즉, carousel의 높이와 길이, 물품 입출고 로보트 (storage/retrieval robot)의 사양 등과 같은 시스템 모수(parameter)들로 부터 주문 처리 시간을 측정 할 수 있는 분석적 모델(analytic model)을 제시하였고, 부수적인 정보로 시스템의 이용율(utilization)을 산출 하였다. 그리고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 타당성을 검증 하였다.
