The low-velocity impact damage of graphite/PEEK(polyether-ether keton) is investigated using an instrumented drop-weight impact tester with various laminates. Low-velocity impact tests are conducted for both graphite/epoxy and graphite/PEEK composite with $[0_2/-45_2/45_2/90_2]_s$ laminates to compare the performance and impact characteristics. The delamination by impact damage of graphite/PEEK and graphite/epoxy is detected using ultrasonic C-scan. Residual stress in graphite/PEEK crossply laminates is taken into account for the damage evaluation using the finite-element method."
