The paper suggests the progress of performance measurement system development for e-learning Business based on BSC (Balanced Scorecard). As the first step, I studied the BSC adaptations to the real companies and the features and factors affecting the performance of e-learning Business through the literatures and interviews with experts for e-learning Business.
And then I devised the performance measurement model for e-learning Business with FGI (Focused Group interview). The purpose of dong FGI was to make validation of the model. FG (focused Group) consisted of CEOs and managers for e-learning company and e-learning consultants. The model was based on BSC, for the BSC is very powerful and sound tool among all the available performance measurement systems. Also the model was based on AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) to make the model more structured, and to draw weights of strategic performance measures from experts
After completion of the performance measurement model, I tried to test the model for any other validation. The test was the model adaptation to one Korean e-learning company delivering total e-learning services. The result was that the model was very comprehensive and practical in the e-leaning Business industry. So, I could reach the satisfactory that the model is very useful and applicable to the real case.
