The massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) technology brings many opportunities beyond
the conventional MIMO technology. In order to exploit the opportunities, it is investigated animatedly to
solve challenges based on practical system model, recently. In this thesis, we consider pilot contamination
which is one of the critical problems in massive MIMO technology with time-division-duplex (TDD)
system. Channel estimation at user for downlink transmission is considered as practical system model
as well. In other words, we analyze the performance of linear precoding scheme based on TDD massive
MIMO system with pilot contamination for uplink and channel estimation error for downlink. We derive
ergodic achievable sumrate for zero-forcing (ZF) and maximum-ratio-transmission (MRT) precoding
scheme. For minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) precoding scheme, we exploit the numerical results to
determine the performance based on the precoding matrix that we obtain from the optimization problem.
Then, we analyze the performance by changing signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) and number of base station
(BS) antennas. We show the simulation results under certain conditions. Finally, we conclude this thesis
by showing the simulation results with good agreement.
