We consider the Helmholtz equation with small multiple electromagnetic inclusions in the two-dimensional free space. When the inclusions are small, we can simplify the far field pattern of the solution to an asymptotic formula. In this case, the far field pattern comes out as a sum of far field patterns which is scattered by each inclusion. We apply the far field splitting method derived in [1] to split the far field corresponding to each inclusion.
이 논문에서는 작은 여러개의 이물질들이 2차원 공간에 존재할 때의 헬름홀츠 방정식을 다루고 있다. 이물질들이 작은 경우, 헬름홀츠 방정식 해의 far field pattern을 간단하게 표현할 수 있는데, 이때 far field pattern은 각 이물질들에 의해 생성된 파의 far field pattern의 합으로 표현된다. 이를 바탕으로, [1]에 표현된 far field splitting method를 이번 문제에 적용시켜 각 이물질에 의해 생성되는 far field pattern으로 분해하였다. 각 이물질에 의해 산란된 파의 far field pattern을 확인해본 결과, 처음 세 개의 푸리에 계수까지 중요한 값을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 수치적으로 각 far field pattern의 푸리에 계수를 구하는 방법을 유도해보고, 간단한 예제 문제에 적용해 봄으로써 값을 잘 얻음을 확인하였다. 만약 정확한 위치 대신 이물질이 있는 곳의 대략적인 영역을 안다면, 더 많은 푸리에 계수를 얻음으로써 far field pattern을 분해할 수 있다.
