The purpose of this paper is to find out the way of implementation and application of Business Intelligence to support the Result-to-Reaction cyclone of the RTE framework. The literature study has performed on the concept of RTE and BI, the implication of business value, and especially the application of BI in the Result-to-Reaction cyclone process with real-time intelligence.
Based on the best practice of “Analytic Competitor” and lessons learned for a SEM system enhancement project case, the study on overall approach for BI implementation has developed and performed to support RTE Result-to-Reaction cyclone. RTE Result-to-Reaction cyclone should be customized and changed into the each company’s own process. Company can implement BI from the three different perspectives based on Gartner’s BI&PM framework.
본 연구에서는 최근 다양하게 추진되고 있는 실시간기업(RTE) 실행방법론에서 비즈니스 인텔리전스가 어떻게 활용 될 수 있으며, 또 어떻게 효과적으로 구현되어야 하는지에 대한 도입방법과 대안을 모색해 보고자 하였다.
특히 RTE Cyclone 모델에서 Result-to-Reaction Cyclone을 지원하기 위해, RTE와 비즈니스 인텔리전스에 대한 개념연구와 Result-to-Reaction Cyclone의 이벤트와 실시간에 관한 특성 등의 문헌연구를 수행하였으며, 해당 Cyclone에 유사한 사례를 발굴하여 전략적기업관리(SEM) 접근방법차원에서 전략적 비즈니스 인텔리전스의 구현사례를 연구하였다. 분석역량` 기업의 모범사례를 통해 비즈니스 인텔리전스도입과 구현방안에 관한 개략적인 접근방법을 제시하였다. RTE Cyclone 모델에서 Leader 레벨과 Manager 레벨의 연계, 즉 전략실행의 Leader 레벨에서 BI가 어떻게 활용되어야 하는지 Manager 레벨인 Result-to-Reaction cyclone에서 그 활용과 구현방안을 모색함으로써, 상위 두 레벨을 연계시키려 시도하였고, 또한 변화관리 관점에서 BICC의 주요 역할을 제시하면서 TDWI BI maturity 모델에서 ‘Gulf’와 ‘Chasm’에 대한 위험을 제시하고 이를 극복할 수 있는 대안을 모색해 보는데 의의가 있다. 향후 기업은 가트너의 BI & PM 프레임워크에 근거하여 통합 수정된 세가지 관점에서 비즈니스 인텔리전스 도입방안에 관한 대안을 생각하면서 비즈니스 인텔리전스를 도입하여 구현할 수 있을 것이다.
