A composite dam which is a combination of a concrete dam and an earth or rockfill dam has been constructed over the decades and has been exposed to earthquakes. This research aims to simulate and to evaluate the seismic behavior of three composite dams with different shapes of the joint, interfaces between concrete dams and rockfill dams using dynamic centrifuge. Three composite dam models were identically constructed except the geometries of the joints. Tests were performed in series of stages with 40g centrifugal acceleration under Ofunato and Hachinohe seismic loadings. The distributions of amplification ratio in the concrete and rockfill model of two composite dams were almost similar. However, the geometry of the composite dam influenced especially the amplification of the joint and the horizontal relative displacement of the top near the joint.
복합댐은 콘크리트댐과 흙댐/락필댐이 결합된 형태의 댐으로써, 세계 있는 복합댐이 지진의 위험에 노출되어 있다. 이 논문은 동적 원심모형시험을 이용하여 세 가지 다른 형상의 접속부를 가진 복합댐의 내진 거동을 모사하고, 복합댐의 내진 안정성을 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 동적 원심모형시험은 40g 원심가속도에서 입력 지진파로 Ofunato 와 Hachinohe 사용하여 수행되었다. 실험으로부터 댐마루 높이에서 복합댐 접속부의 복합댐 위상 변화, 높이별 증폭 특성, 상대수평변위를 분석하였다.
