This study is to solve the funding problem of domestic SMEs and start-ups. So, it started from the question that crowdfunding can be a new alternative of the funding for domestic SMEs and start-ups. It is also looking for answers to questions that crowdfunding could revitalize the investment in SMEs and start-ups, overcome the problem of information asymmetry between consumers and providers. And then I tried to suggest policies on how to support the application of the crowdfunding in korea by the government.
In this paper, I talked about a variety of types and methods of financing through the financial market and the status of funding for domestic SMEs and start-ups. And I also talked the policy support system by the government and the problems of financing. I obtained hints for solving the problems through documentary research on information asymmetry in financial industry, improvement methods of financing for domestic SMEs and start-ups and the application of social network service. I verified the potential of crowdfunding by case study, for example, Kickstarter, Money Auction, etc. In order to solve the financing problem, more detailed discussion about real-world problems, institutions, laws and regulations will be needed.
This paper pointed out current problems about the financing problems for domestic SMEs and start-ups and seek practical solutions using crowdfunding. In this sense, this paper has important implications and will need more in-depth study.
본 연구는 국내 중소??벤처기업이 가장 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 자금조달의 문제를 해결해보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 크라우드 펀딩이 국내 중소??벤처기업 자금조달에 새로운 대안이 될 수 있을지에 대한 의문을 시작으로, 중소??벤처기업 투자 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것인지, 자금수요자와 공급자 간 정보비대칭 문제를 극복할 수 있을 것인지, 국내 적용을 위한 정책적 지원은 어떠한 방법으로 이루어져야 하는지 등에 대한 문제에 답을 구하고자 하였다.
먼저 현재 우리나라 중소??벤처기업 자금조달의 현황과 금융시장을 통한 각종 다양한 자금조달의 유형과 방법, 그리고 정부의 자금조달 지원정책의 의미와 현재 시행되고 있는 각종 자금조달 지원체계와 문제점 등에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 크라우드 펀딩의 개념과 현황을 통한 기대효과를 살펴보고, 중소??벤처기업의 새로운 자금조달 방식에 대한 실마리를 찾고자 하였다. 또한 정부의 지원정책의 당위성과 의미, 현황, 그리고 현재 정책방향의 문제점을 지적하였다.
그리고 이러한 배경지식을 바탕으로 크라우드 펀딩의 개념과 현황, 금융산업의 정보 비대칭 해소방안에 대한 문헌연구와 중소??벤처기업 자금조달 개선방안, 소셜네트워크서비스 활용 등에 대한 문헌연구를 통해 문제해결의 실마리를 얻었고, 킥스타터, 머니옥션 등의 국내외 크라우드 펀딩 플랫폼 사례분석으로 크라우드 펀딩의 가능성을 검증했다. 이 밖에도 제도화와 현재 정책과의 연계방안을 알아봄으로서 현재의 문제점에 대한 지적은 물론 현실적인 해결방안까지 모색했다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 가지고 있다고 본다. 그러나 실제 국내 상황에 맞춰 적용하기까지 현실적인 문제나 제도, 법안 등에 대한 자세한 논의가 필요할 것으로 보여지며, 이 부분에 대해서는 보다 심도있는 연구가 필요할 것이다.
