Correlation structure of foreign currency exchanges are important factor for option pricing and risk management. Actually, the correlations of prices decay in a short time. So returns of correlations are more meaningful than prices. In this study, 2008 US dollar-Korean Won, US dollar-Japan yen and Euro-US dollar foreign currency exchange data are used and, the time series generated by modified E-Z model are used. MF-DFA(Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis) is used to analysis the multifractalities of time series. This study address characters of foreign currency exchange market of Korea. The multifractality is due to correlation and fat-tailedness. By comparing multifractalities of real data and generated data, fat-tailedness is more dominant factor than correlation in two cases which are focused in this study.
MF-DFA(Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis)를 통해 멀티프랙탈성을 알아보고 비교해 보았다.
