The information systems and technology become the most important in our life. Most of governments have plans to implement IT and e-Government in all of their job processing and communication tools.
Yemen is a developing country that is trying to implement e-Government and looking for an appropriate e-Government model to enhance and provide the people with the best and fastest services that meet their requirements.
This study is a country report to evaluate the situation of technical readiness for e-Government implementation in Yemen, also to compare three case studies in term of ICT based on basic infrastructural indicators. Based on the case studies of e-Government success stories - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and South Korea the study investigates the factors that could influence a successful e-Government deployment in Yemen.
The study also showed some facts and lessons from the Korean case indicating strong ICT infrastructure and how it facilitated Korea's placement on top of the ranks. It also established how WiMAX networks in Saudi Arabia and Egypt helped to improve the ICT infrastructure. Finally this study came up with suggestions & recommendation to the Government of Yemen to promote a sustainable e-Government Infrastructure.
