ISO 15926 is an International Standard for the representation of process plant life-cycle information. This standard is specified by a generic, conceptual data model that is suitable as the basis for implementation in a shared database or data warehouse. The data model is designed to be used in conjunction with reference data: standard instances that represent information common to a number of users, process plants, or both. The support for a specific life-cycle activity depends on the use of appropriate reference data in conjunction with the data model.
This thesis introduces: 1) The roles and requirements of ISO 15926 part 2 (core model), part 4 (reference data), and the user defined reference library, 2) the roles and requirement of ISO 15926 part 7 (Implementation methods for the integration of distributed systems), how to define extended user reference data library (RDL), how to define user specific object information model (OIM), how to define Document Type, how to define transfer file format and message format, how to map the user system data (in Excel format) into RDL and OIM.
Based on the study, a sample data model for the nuclear power plant (APR1400) has been implemented where the APR1400, the Korean Nuclear Power Plant Project, is investigated. The data of the nuclear power plant could be shared and integrated among the design company (KOPEC) of nuclear power plants, equipment vendors, and plant operator (KHNP).
