This thesis implements the LIBOR market model by using the market data in Korea. We construct the model such that the volatility structure is fitted to the quoted caps volatilities and the correlation coefficients among the forward rates are estimated from the historical data. Our results show that the model reproduces the caps volatilities in a stable manner, though the estimated instantaneous volatility structure does not show time-homogeneous pattern. However, the model tends to undereprice the swaptions, revealing that the implied correlations are higher compared to the historical correlations. Lastly, we show that the model recovers the market swaption prices more stably under the assumption of perfect correlations.
