Many Korean companies introduce Balanced Scorecard (BSC). BSC is not just a performance measurement tool. To fully utilize it, companies should leverage it as a strategy management system. Many companies pay enormous efforts to establish strategy and enhance their execution performance, but few of them share the strategy with every members of the organization. To effectively communicate strategy with members, companies need to consider organizational structure and change management characteristics. In this thesis, with the focus on organization structure and change management characteristics, BSC implementation cases are reviewed. To sharpen the review of BSC implementation cases, a survey is executed. The survey explores the organization structure and change management characteristics as well as BSC satisfaction. We study 12 Korean companies that already introduced BSC. Based on the result of the survey, two companies are chosen for further case study.
