In this thesis, Bandgap Reference circuit at Cryogenic temperature(77K) in Infrared image ROIC(readout integrated circuit) has been studied.
Generally, accurate and exact reference voltage in ROIC is needed. That is independent source for temperature and supply voltage. If a reference voltage is changed by temperature and supply voltage , it brings about noise after all. Until now, many reference circuits are studied and used. In this thesis, Bandgap reference circuit is used.
ROIC is acted at 77K and a circuit characteristic in low temperature is different in room temperature. First of all, it needs modeling and parameter abstraction about proposed circuit. Proposed bandgap reference circuit is circuit that doesn’t use resistor to be exact circuit and to lessen area and has switches to control gain from the outside. This circuit is designed in 200um*300um and biased by 10uA.
This is circuit fabricated by Hynix 0.6um 2-poly 3-metal process. Temperature coefficient around 77K of this circuit is 10~40uV/K and supply noise is 30uV. Fabricated chip matches simulated results well.
