The CCPM(Critical Chain Project Management) has recently emerged as one of the most popular approaches to project management. The CCPM has the merits to shorten the project completion time delayed due to the resource constraint, common resource behaviors and traditional project management method. And many successful cases using the CCPM have been reported. But there have been the resent studies on weaknesses of the CCPM scheduling approach. They have required the efficient CCPM baseline scheduling algorithm and rescheduling algorithm. It is the objective of this paper to do research on the causes of unstable baseline schedule and the unnecessary increase of the project planning duration under CCPM scheduling. The scope of the research is the CCPM basic concept and the commercial CCPM software package. In addition, an efficient CCPM scheduling method for single project is proposed in this paper. The proposed CCPM scheduling method is tested in a experiment performed on a set of many problems. It appears that the proposed CCPM scheduling method meets with a better result.
