As the information system of the business organization becomes larger and more complex, it brings about lots of unexpected problems which the users are suffering from. Personal information misuse, violation of the law or regulation, and compulsion of unreasonable regulation are one of good cases which the business organizations are taking advantage of. To protect users from these disadvantages, government is trying to superintend business organization’s knowledge information systems. However, due to the lack of manpower supply and updated auditing technology, knowledge auditing of business organization have not been achieved efficiently. On this, we suggest efficient and continuous knowledge auditing system methodology based on eXtensible Rule Markup Language(XRML).
XRML is able to maintain the consistency between HTML document for human browsing and rule for software agent. It also makes the transformation easy between heterogeneous knowledge representations. These advantages of XRML make the inter-organizational knowledge auditing possible. To apply the suggested structure, we have selected internet shopping mall’s stipulation as an application area and implemented a prototype of Internet Shopping Mall’s Stipulation Auditing System based on XRML, which can be a good contribution to e-government plan of Korea.
