This thesis is concerned with the knowledge acquistion activities through the development stages of Korean ventures. I thought this is important in the tree reasons. First the Korean venture is thought to be the engine of innovation in the declinnig Korean economy. Second the venture phenomenon is very dynamic compared with the established companies so that the influencing factors of performance can also change over the developing stages. Third the knowledge of the firm is critical resources where the compatitive advantage come from. Especially in the venture the knowledge required in certain context should be acquired from external sources or internal efforts.
There are four questions to answer. First is how the knowledge acquisition efforts of each functional knowledge change as the firm grows. Second is how the knowledge acquistion efforts in each methods as the firm grows. Third is what knowledge is more influential on the performance at each development stages. Fourth is what knowledge method is more influential on the performance at each development stages.
This research questions are studied with literature reviews, statistical analysis of surveyed data, and the case study.
