The capacity of the cell varies with the loading of the home and neighboring cells mainly because the co-channel interference changes according to the number of users in the cell. But most call admission control(CAC) algorithms do not consider the cell loading. We here propose a dynamic call admission control in WCDMA system with traffic asymmetry. In the proposed algorithm, we periodically monitor the new call and handoff call arrival rate. Based on this information, we decide the new call and handoff call CAC threshold. And these thresholds should be changed by temporal new call blocking probability and handoff call dropping probability. We can control the blocking and dropping probability by adjusting these thresholds. We guarantee the Qos of call class and priority between new call and handoff call. In addition, the proposed algorithm can minimize the grade of service(GOS) value with the system throughput maintained.
