There is more focus on issues in web considering of users who have more power comparing to past times. Studies about user’s experience in web environment are increasing but it is difficult to find web sites that offer distinctive experience among similar contents and services. Based on backgrounds mentioned above, it is necessary to study the offline user experience and apply finds to content development process for optimal and different experience.
In this study, "User Experience" and "Optimal Experience" are defined through the investigation of the definitions of experience in experimental philosophy, interaction design, design management, Human Computer Interaction, psychology and so on. Based on the findings; experience factors extracted from the former study, “Experience framework” is established and tools are developed. Because current content development methods have not fully considered users’ experiences, necessities of new methods are raised according to findings of field research. Guidelines, used in content development, that are extracted from understandings of the fundamentals of content and relationships between content and optimal experiences are proposed. Finally, test is conducted to find the applicability of framework and developed tools during content development process.
The results of this study are followed: [1] Guidelines of content: they are used in content development to offer optimal experiences to users. [2] Experience framework and Tools: they are utilized for observing users and constructing contents. [3] Presumption of applying user observation study to content development: through the case study, content development process that introduces new methods is proposed.
