Drive-by-wire systems will become popular in the near future, because of their compactness, light-weight and improved controllability. Since there would be no mechanical redundancy in the drive by wire subsystem, the reliability of the system needs to be improved by using fault diagnosis of sensors and actuators.
In the paper, a Kalman filter based fault diagnosis method for the vehicle with the drive by wire system, which includes steer by wire, brake by wire and throttle by wire systems, is proposed. It is shown that the proposed method is successful in fault detection and isolation for single sensor/actuator fault of the vehicle system
Drive-by-wire 시스템은 간단한 구조와 무게 감소 그리고 개선된 제어성능으로 미래에 현재의 자동차 시스템을 대체하게 될 것이다. 이러한 drive-by-wire 시스템은 기계적인 백업이 되어 있지 않기 때문에 시스템에 대한 신뢰도를 증가시키기 위해 센서 및 구동기의 고장 진단이 필요하게 된다.
본 연구에서는 drive-by-wire 시스템인 steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire 그리고
throttle-by-wire 시스템을 부(sub) 시스템으로 가지는 자동차에 대하여 칼만 필터를
기반으로 하는 고장진단 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 이 방법론을 이용하여 자동차
의 센서나 구동기의 단일 고장에 대하여 고장 검출과 분리가 가능함을 보여줄 것
이다.
