Supplier selection problem is important because the cost of raw materials and component parts can account for up to 70% of the main cost of products. In such circumstances, the purchasing department can play a key role in cost reduction, and supplier selection is one of the important functions of purchasing management. Supplier selection is a multi-criteria problem, which includes both qualitative and quantitative factors. In order to select the best suppliers, a trade-off is necessary. Many different supplier selection models have been proposed in the purchasing literature. However, these models fail to consider B2B e-commerce environment. Therefore, this thesis proposes a model for this internet environment. The proposed model includes quantitative factors such as price, transport cost, delivery time, delivery quantity, and defect rate. In addition, it includes qualitative factors such as technology, service, reputation, and convenience factors. For this model, a weighted point method is employed because it is faster and can be understood more easily. The proposed model is compared with other models to illustrate its usefulness. Furthermore, a prototype is built.
