There are several product data management (PDM) tools for supporting the information sharing and management in the development environment. However, these have the weak points in supporting the distributed work environment.
This paper deals with a development of the PDM system that implements a distributed work environment with some intelligent agents. Intelligent agents can design collaboratively through an interchange of messages in their domains.
This paper propose Agent Management System (AMS) and suggest new connection architecture. This AMS is applied to the new architecture and shown some possibilities that the agent connection architecture can be extended in the distributed work environment. With a simple scenario, it is shown that this system makes it possible the collaborative design of agents.
