Companies acknowledge customer information as strategic assets, but not willing to pay for it. Thanks to new information technologies, consumers are going to take ownership of information about themselves and demand value in exchange for it, however. We anticipate that companies-Infomediaries will seize the opportunity to act as custodians, agents, and brokers of customer information, marketing it to businesses on consumers' behalf while protecting their privacy at the same time. Infomediaries are not only acceptable alternative between information demand of businesses and customers' concern on information ownership, but also create new information economies. "Credit Infomediaries" enable customers to be the conqueror of information asymmetries and privacy concern, help creditors to optimize its internal process and serve customized products to customers. This new business perspective will contribute to new positioning of credit bureau from backroom operation to credit information partner. To be an Infomediary, the company has to develop a unique brand franchise with a specific audience and long-standing relationships with customers who trust and are loyal. As a major credit information provider in Korea, H-info Inc. has excellent business opportunity to be "Credit Infomediary" through providing unique information value to customers. Meanwhile, it is required strategic approach to achieve broad consensual of customers, such as strategic alliance with variety customer contact channels.
