New molybdenum-oxo complex and CGC-type titanium complex containing carborane was synthesized.
The molybdenum-oxo complex, $[Mo(dmso)_3(\mu-O)O]^+_2(C_2B_9H_{12})^-_2$, was derived from reaction with $(C_2B_9H_{11})Mo(CO)_3(MeCN)$ and DMSO, followed by treatment of $H_2O$. And its crystal structure has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
The novel CGC-type carborane-titanium complex, $(7-NC_5H_4CH_2-7,8-C_2B_9 H_{11})TiCl_2$, was synthesized and characterized by $^1H$, and $^{11}B$ NMR spectroscopy.
The novel proton salt of carborane mono anoin, $H^+[7-NC_5H_4CH_2-7,8-C_2 B_9H_{11}]^-$, which is a potentially good ligand for deriving polymerization catalyst was synthesized and characterized by mass, $^1H$, $^{11}B$, and $^{13}C$ NMR spectroscopy.
