A simulator is developed to evaluate the reverse link performance of an signal-to- interference ratio(SIR) based power controlled DS-CDMA system in terms of SIR level, average transmit power, interference, blocking probability, and outage probability for various channel conditions, target SIR levels, and cell sizes. And the effects of SIR-based power control on the CDMA system are discussed having analytical results and computer simulation results. The results can be utilized in the cell planning and management of CDMA cellular systems and the developed simulator can be a basis for the simulator to evaluate the performance of a multimedia communications system adopting W-CDMA technology.
신호대 간섭비(SIR)에 기반한 전력 제어를 사용하는 DS-CDMA 시스템의 SIR 레벨, 평균 전송 전력, 간섭량, 호손률, 호차단확률등의 다양한 환경에서의 역방향 성능평가를 하기위한 시뮬레이터를 개발했다. 그리고 SIR기반의 전력 제어가 CDMA 시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석과 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해서 토의된다. 이와 같은 결과들은 CDMA 시스템의 셀 계획과 운영에 사용될 수 있을 것이며, 개발된 시뮬레이터는 W-CDMA 기술을 사용하는 멀티미디어 시스템의 성능 평가를 위한 기초가 될 것이다.
