Interaction of shock waves emerging from multiple slits is studied numerically. A few distinct flow regions are observable in this process such as the flow entering slits, flow in the narrow slits, flow in the vortex-shock interaction region, shock-wave front and the relatively uniform flow region behind the shock wave. Flow characteristics in each of these flow regions are investigated in detail. Some supplementary experimental results are also added in this research.
