This thesis presents a supervisory control unit (SCU) designed to supervise the control system of the high-speed train. The supervisory control system of the French TGV is studied and evaluated. The roles and the input/output signals of each sub-control system of the high-speed train are defined, and the signal interfaces among control systems are set up. The designed SCU is organized into three hierarchies, i.e., function, sub-function, and role, and consists of 9 blocks and 16 processes. The logic of the roles of the SCU is designed using CASE tool, ObjectGEODE. The designed SCU is evaluated and verified using simulation with a scenario including the travels from the first station to the last station.
