ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) is a new form of Information Systems, which is becoming more general as a tool for BPR(Business Process Reengineering). Yet, comparing to the importance of ERP, we are lack of understanding about it. And any frameworks of which take use are not suggested yet.
So in this thesis, I intend to analyze the strategic characters of ERP and to propose the guideline that guarantees the effective use of ERP in BPR. To do this, I use the strategic alignment model that maximized achievement through dynamic optimization as well as functional integration between business and information technology and strategic fit between strategy and infrastructure.
The guideline suggests not only feasible using patterns of ERP, but the criteria that can select the suitable patterns for the contingency. And I propose both the Single Loop as the way of optimization and the Double Loop through which we are able to get a balanced growth.
The new viewpoint concerning the using of ERP makes the success of BPR link the high performance of an organization. Consequently, I suggest an idea, which internalizes the innovative capability for on-going growth of an organization.
