The purpose of subway regulation is to increase the overal system performance by controlling the speed of each train. Various methods such as simple control, linear control and fuzzy control have been studed for subway regulation. In this paper, previous studies for subway regulation is briefly examined and a revised method based on fuzzy control is proposed.
Using dedicated controller to each control object, proposed method can increase the control performance of each control object as well as easily consider additional ones. An integration controller is also used to integrate control results with repect to the current system situation. As a result, proposed method can handle efficiently the various situations of the subway system, and generates control results adaptive to the situation changes. A subway simulater is also developed for testing and verifying the proposed method.
