The outcome of the existing Business Process Reengineering can not be too emphasized. People would focus on the innovative aspect of it. On the other hand, It's also true that the existing approach of the BPR has also caused confusion in their application to real situation and brought a trial and error while it is applied to the organization. This phenomenon is originated from the fact that the existing BPR methodology has relied on information technology too much and its superficial approach when BPR is applied to real situation.
This paper targets on the resolution of this problem. A physical side BPR methodology that makes much of reengineering process before the introduction of information system to organization is presented in detail through this paper. Moreover, the concept of physical side BPR is verified in its application to Duty-Free shop process innovation.
Establishment of Physical Side BPR Methodology will offer the concrete methodology to organization that consider reengineering organization and introduction of information system.
현재까지 BPR이 이루어놓은 성과는 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않다. 대부분의 사람들이 그의 혁신적인 측면에 주목해 왔다. 반면에 BPR의 현재 접근법은 실제 상황에의 적용에 있어 혼란과 시행착오를 일으키고 있는 것도 또한 사실이다. 이런 현상은 BPR의 방법론이 정보기술에 지나치게 의존해 왔던 점 그리고 실제 상황에 적용될 경우에 너무나 피상적인 접근법을 취해온데서 비롯된 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 이 문제의 해결을 위해 노력하고 있다. 정보시스템의 조직에의 도입 이전에 리엔지니어링 프로세스를 중시하는 Physical side BPR의 방법론이 이 논문 전체에 걸쳐 논의되게 될 것이다. 그에 더해 Physical side BPR의 개념이 면세점 업무에의 현업 적용을 통해 확인되게 될 것이다. Physical Side BPR방법론의 수립은 조직의 리엔지니어링과 정보시스템 도입을 고려하고 있는 조직에게 구체적인 방법론을 제공하게 될 것이다.
