As the elevation of the life level and the change of the corporate environment, the strategic role of design has been an important part of the corporate and society. Because, however, job of designers is not clearly defined, there is a gap in doing job between the corporate and designers. So it makes the effectiveness of design job lower.
This study aims to establish the body of knowledge on study of job analysis for industrial designers in the corporate; defining and clearing the job and developing the job system for industrial designers. In doing so, the effectiveness of design job is higher.
Major findings of the study can be summarized as follows ; First, through surveying the literature on this subject and field research-questioning and interviewing the corporate designer-, the job of designers is classified. Secondly, the classified job is divided into 20 steps with two axes-horizontal axis for the job and vertical axis for the qualification. Thirdly, As each step is defined in point of a job description and a range of responsibility, the job system is developed.
