We intend to fabricate a single-crystalline superconducting YBCO thin-film tape. Our final goal is that we are able to fabricate the tape as long as we want. This thesis contains the fabrication of a 5mm×5mm superconducting tape.
We use Pt as the supporting tape. We fabricate Pt/$SrTiO_3$/BaO/YSZ film, and we obtained a good (002) Pt film by appropriate surface treatment of the BaO during deposition. We also saw that it is possible to separate the Pt/STO from YSZ by $H_2O$ ECR plasma treatment of BaO layor. After attaching the free standing Pt tape to $LaAlO_3$ with silver paste, We fabricate YBCO/$LaTiO_3$/ (Pt/silver-paste/$LaAlO_3$). But We could not obtain a good YBCO film yet.
