In this paper, two new observers are proposed, which are LOEST and TDOEST.
LOEST(Linear Observer with Error Similarity Transformation) is an application of error similarity transformation to linear observer. Compared to linear observer, LOEST has short settling time and is robust to the errors of the parameter estimation. LOEST has a transient response showing that the errors are exponentially decreased from initial values, but is sensitive to the measurement noise.
TDOEST(Time Delay Observer with Error Similarity Transformation) is an application of error similarity transformation to Time Delay Observer. When compared to Time Delay Observer, TDOEST has small errors in the steady state, but is also sensitive to the measurement noise.
To verify the effects of the proposed observers, simulations are accomplished.
