In this Study, the properties of fresh super flowing concrete containing fly ash as a binder were experimentally investigated. P-funnel and mortar flow cone tests were used to examine the fluidity of cement paste containing fly ash and pulverized blast furnace slag fine powder. Slump cone test, O funnel test, box test and L-test were also carried out to investigate the consistency and workability of super flowing concrete.
Based on these research results, it was found that water-binder ratio for the super flowing concrete should be varied with the types and replacement ratios of binders for proper fluidity and viscosity of the paste. The gravel volume should be less than the critical gravel volume and the ratio of paste volume to gravel volume should be larger than the critical ratio in the mix design for the super flowing concrete. Finally optimal mix design procedure was proposed for the super flowing concrete.
