According to progress into Information Age, modern society has been changed rapidly. The form and medium of Information have been changed in variety and large. Thus the media, which communicate the information, have also had various and complex changes. These changes brought about introduction of Multimedia as new media for digitalized information.
This thesis is intended to study on the graphical interface structure in multimedia application. This study reviews the conceptual, driven-methodical and practical structures of multimedia application for structural access to the graphical interface embodied in multimedia environments. Through the analysis of conceptual structures, it is researched how the interface is structurized in multimedia environments. Through the analysis of driven-methodical structures, it is researched how the contents of the application are composed in the structure of graphical interface. It is classified into three methods, menu driven structure, linear structure, and hypertext structure. Each structure has its own characteristic interfacing structure. Then, with example of practical multimedia applications, those interfacing structures are embodied.
In the development process of multimedia products, it is researched what importance designing screen structure has. Guidelines for design of effective screen structure is served, the design tool for screen structure is developed for its realization. This tool will be able to make systematic development of screen-interfacing structure in production of multimedia application.
