A low cost active suspension for the use on passenger car is investigated. The system retains the conventional suspension spring and damper elements and replaces the stabilizer bar with an active device. The roll motion of a simulation model incorporating measured parametric data is compared with experimental results. The controller using the fuzzy logic for the proposed system shows that the roll motion of vehicle is reduced through simulation and test.
