In this paper, we propose a local adaptive retransmission scheme that uses the amount of elapsed time slots after the last collision in determining the retransmission probability. An equilibrium point analysis is made to examine the effect of the additional information on the average delay and delay profile of the slotted ALOHA random access channels having no round trip delay.
