In order to design and fabricate a highly sensitive and accurate vibrating-sample magnetometer we studied about the simulation of the detection coil array and the vibrator. The signal induced in the detection coil array is proportional to multiplication of amplitude, frequency, g(vectorial geometry factor, VGF), and the total magnetic moment of the sample. For the first two factors the vibrator was designed to have a maximum amplitude of ± 7.0 mm and a frequency renge of 20~60 Hz, and operates normally about ± 1~2 mm and 30~35 Hz including the resonance frequency in the stable state. For the third factor the Mallison type was chosen as the detection coil arrays and has a VGF of magnitude about near one which has the asymmetry of the position of coils, i.e. 6.8 % difference for 0.5 % position diffrence of one coil of coil arrays and identities between coils, i.e. 4.3 % difference for 6 % identity diffrence between housings according to the geometry of our VSM. calculation was performed through the method of the gaussian quadratures. For the last factor we used a standard Ni sample (5mm × φ 0.127 mm) to calibrate the VSM. Therefore we designed and fabricated the VSM which has the sensitivity of $16~20×10^{-5}$ emu at the frequency 31.0 Hz and the amplitude near 1.5 mm from the M-H hysteresis loop of Ni wire in stable state. For the further study we have to increse the signal to noise ratio considering the coil identities, low pass filter, ripples of magnet, reduction of the vibration in XY plane, and also increasing the distance between coils , the frequency, and the amplitude.
