This thesis suggests a new methods for the generation of the toolpath for finish-cutting.
Recently, measuring technique is progressing rapidly, and unification of measuring & machining in CNC Machine is a trend in manufacturing site. Therefore, new CAM system is needed to produce toolpath in fast time. In order to achieve this goal, new model of which the name is Adaptive Polygon Model is designed.
This model consists of point, line, and triangle form. The criterion of form division is tolerance. Measured point is modeled as triangle in sparse region, as line in tight region in one direction, and as point in tight region.
After modeling, step length, path interval, and normal vector is calculated to find cutter location. In last step, disturbance check is needed to detect overcut. If overcut is occurred, cutter location is moved upward direction.
